What is an
affiliate program? How does it work?
An affiliate program is a revenue sharing program where the affiliate (that's
you!) drives traffic to a merchant's web site (that's us!) in exchange for
referral commissions. When a visitor to your site clicks on the affiliate link
to our site and completes a purchase, you get a commission paid monthly on
every item they buy!
We have partnered
with MyReferer to provide our affiliates with trusted third-party
tracking and real-time reporting.
Once you
sign up for and are accepted to our program, you'll be sent
a link to the MyReferer site where you'll create your own personal
and secure account. Here you can log in at any time to get
our banners and links, find out about commissions earned and
even learn about how many impressions each of your links has
received.
How
do I get started?
Step 1: Sign
up! Click here to become a Speedydog affiliate
Step 2: Once your application is approved, you'll log on to your Speedydog
Affiliate Account on MyReferer to get text links and banners to put on your
site.
Step 3: Collect your commissions!
Who
is eligible for affiliation?
Whether you run a large commercial web site, a small personal
blog, a non-profit site, or anything in between you're welcome to apply to
join the program. Owners of opt-in e-mail newsletters are welcome to join as
well. All applications are manually reviewed, and we reserve the right to refuse
any
application, especially if the site or e-mail list contains objectionable material
or participates in unsolicited e-mailing.
Does
it cost anything to participate?
It costs nothing to participate. There is no setup fee or hidden charges, nor
is there any obligation or commitment involved whatsoever.
How
do you track sales?
Once your application is accepted, you will be given a unique affiliate ID.
On your Speedydog Affiliate Account on MyReferer, you'll find custom-formatted
links that will ensure that traffic coming from your site is properly tracked.
We maintain a 60-day cookie, meaning that if a visitor clicks on a link from
your site, you are credited with the sale as long as the visitor purchases
within 60 days.
MyReferer
records all transactions from your site in real time, meaning
that all impressions, links, and sales are tracked instantly.
Your Member Account Area has all of the reports and tracking
resources you'll need to see how you're doing. You can use
these reports to find out which of your links are performing
the best and to optimize your site for maximum sales.
How
much will I earn? How and when do I get paid?
Speedydog affiliates earn commissions of 10% of the subtotal, with a cookie
length of 60 days. Speedydog pays affiliates monthly
when the commission balance is $10 or more. Commission checks are distributed
by mail on the 15th of the month.
How
do I create links to Speedydog?
Current affiliates can get links, including banners and text ads from the "Get
Links" section of their Speedydog Affiliate Account on MyReferer. Click the AFFILIATE
LOG IN link
at the top of this page to access your account. You're also welcome to create
graphic and text links of your own, as long as they do not abuse the Speedydog
brand. Feel free to link to the home page, directly
to product pages, or the "Play with Speedydog" online games page.
Can I
link to a specific product or page?
Yes.
